I did sketch for a guy I met at a comic con. The Black Cat is his favorite character.
I have never really liked Felicia Hardy, probably because was familiar with Catwoman and figured that she was a pale imitation.
I have gotten Jaded/bored with mainstream comics. I read them from time to time but I get tired of the sameness of the story elements and maxims. So of late when I draw comic related images i try to find something...Unusual or realistic...different.
The idea for this is simple: She is somewhere she doesn't belong and has accidentally alerted a guard on patrol. Now she has to hide..
Anywhoo, this is me at my most basic. A No. 2 pencil, some paper and an creative itch!
Total time: About 4.5 hours

nicely done - it just goes to show you can do anything with anything
a good excercise for any artist.
fantastic for that the lacking of the base lines to figure out the body (im still doing basics and not getting it all the time)
excellent shading, shadows and folds
i would argue a general difference in that, yes i do see similarities of the characters obviously but i dont think that either is an imitation of the other.in the most litteral sense.
felcia is taking up her fathers mantle, given supersoldier abilities on par with cap. i grant there's all sorts of different backgrounds and developments of the character i just felt like the character was always tryin to find her path, her way.occasionally with a webby friend.
catwoman was rather different she choose to be what she was , without powers (depending on origin) she choose to be a thief and always bordered on the right/wrong grey zone she did thieve some badguys but it was merely incidental from what i could see until she got into bats and she as a general observational note, they tried to have her go good which she i think did for a lil but was at heart a thief for the thrill of the crime.
